ESPN: McDaniels rejects Colts HC Offer

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that New England Patriots’ Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels has decided not to accept the Colts’ head coaching position and will stay with New England.

This comes after the Indianapolis Colts officially announced that McDaniels had agreed to terms with the Colts.

Schefter is also reporting New England reworked McDaniels' contract and convinced him to stay.

As offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach for the New England Patriots, he has guided the Patriots offense to seven Top 10 rankings, including the league’s top offensive unit in 2007, 2012 and 2017.

New England has won five Super Bowl titles with McDaniels on its staff.

Now the Colts go back to the drawing board.
