Evansville Man Accused Of Dealing Meth Arrested

An Evansville man tried to escape through a bathroom window when Indiana State Police showed up at his hotel room Thursday.

Indiana State Police said it happened at the Howard Johnson Hotel on North Green River Road. Troopers said they went to the hotel to arrest Scott Bond on a warrant related to dealing methamphetamine.

When ISP, along with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department knocked on the door of Bond's room, he tried to escape through a bathroom window. Police said he didn't get far before being arrested.

Bond's daughter was found inside the hotel room with several baggies of crystal meth, adding up to 54 grams. Three handguns, two rifles, ammunitions, and nearly $500 cash were also found near the drugs.

Scott Bond is facing multiple felonies in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

18-year-old Gabrielle Bond was arrested on lesser charges.
