Evansville Man Found Guilty in 2015 Shooting

An Evansville man is found guilty from a shooting that happened above a bar.

A jury found Jarvice Sears, 21, guilty after police say he and three others tried to rob an apartment.

It happened above 711 Tavern on Virginia Street in October of 2015.

Five people were shot during the incident.

The jury convicted Sears of:

  • Two counts of burglary with serious bodily injury
  • One count of attempted robbery with serious bodily injury
  • Four counts of attempted robbery
  • Two counts of aggravated battery

Sears will be sentenced on June 26.
