Event helps students dress for success

For the first time, JCPenney partners with IVY Tech southwest for a college Suit Up event.

The event was held at Eastland Mall and helped students dress for success as store associates give students hands on advice on what to wear for job interviews.

Ivy Tech students received a 40% discount by showing their student I.D. and many say it helped them learn the fashion trends and what to look for in buying professional wear.

JCPenney Supervisor Jeri Hallmann says, "This gives students a step up on an interview if you come presentable for that job looking the way you should the way that they want their employees to look, so it gives them the inside on what they need to look for."

Employees at JCPenney say they hope to make it an annual event.
