EVSC to Break Ground on New McCutchanville School Today

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) is going to officially break ground Saturday for the new McCutchanville Elementary School.

The school is being built on Petersburg Rd.

Families and graduates of the former McCutchanville School are invited to attend.

EVSC Superintendent David Smith, School Board President Andrew Guarino, County Commissioner Bruce Ungethiem and former Principal of McCutchanville School Ed Schiffer will be attending the event.

The school is going to open for the 2018-19 school year.

It will serve students in prekindergarten through sixth grade.

The 25-acre site it's going to be located on was purchased in 1995 specifically as a future school site.

The new school boundaries are drawn from portions of Scott and Oak Hill Elementary Schools.

The boundaries include:

  • Highway 41 on the west
  • Boonville New Harmony Road to Petersburg Road to Green River Road to Ruston on the north
  • The Warrick County line on the east
  • Highway 57 and a line parallel to Hillsdale Road on the south.
