Two men were arrested during a death investigation in Mt. Carmel, after the two allegedly gave false information concerning one of the men's identities.
On Wednesday, Mt. Carmel Police were dispatched to the 200 block of 13th St. in reference to a 24-year-old woman who was found unresponsive.
First responders with Wabash General Ambulance, Mt. Carmel Fire, and the police department all arrived on scene and began CPR.
The woman was transported to Wabash General Hospital where she was declared dead.
Two men living at the residence were arrested after police said they provided false information to authorities.
Anthony W.E. Parrish, 22, and his father 45-year-old Jeffrey S. Parrish were both arrested.
Anthony allegedly provided a false name and Jeffrey allegedly told police his son had a different name.
Police said they eventually determined that Anthony was wanted on a White County warrant for burglary of a motor vehicle.
The father and son were both arrested on charges of felony obstruction of justice.
A 13-month-old child in the residence was taken into protective custody and was later turned over to a family member.
Police said an investigation into the 24-year-old woman's death is ongoing.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. At this time, foul play is not suspected.
