Fire destroys house in Union County

Firefighters believe the fire started in a utility room inside the house

UNION COUNTY (WEHT) - Fire destroyed a house in Union County Friday morning.

The Union County Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire in the 1900 block of KY 359, just east of Morganfield.

Fire officials tell Eyewitness News that the homeowner was next door at a neighbor's house when they saw smoke and called 911.

Firefighters believe the fire started in a utility room inside the house.

High winds were a concern for crews fighting the fire, but firefighters had it tapped out pretty quickly.

Everything inside the home was destroyed.

No one was hurt.
