This month's flooding continues to cause problems in places hardest hit. In Dubois County, floodwaters are causing some blockage in Patoka River, which in turn began affecting Patoka Lake.
County officials said the blockage has been affecting the lake's gauge – helping them decide how much water needs to be released at a given time.
Officials explained while logs jams are common, this one has gotten a bit more attention than usual.
Conservatory crews were out as soon as Wednesday afternoon at the scenes of the log jams so that they could unclog parts of the river.
