Fraternity Brothers Remember Their Own Killed in Car Crash

He had a plan for everything, and a bright future ahead of him.

That is how members of a University of Evansville fraternity remembers one of their own who was killed in a weekend car accident.

Devin Cyr, 20, was killed in a crash on Highway 41 in Gibson County Saturday when the driver of a semi didn't stop at a red light.

Devin had just finished his sophomore year at UE and was studying Mechanical Engineering. He was also an active member of the Sig Ep fraternity.

Devin's closest friends remember him as the glue that kept the house together.

After he passed, the fraternity huddled together and listened to a podcast that Devin made a few weeks earlier.

More than 150 different Sig Ep chapters across the country have reached out to send their condolences.

The UE chapter has also set up a GoFundMe page to help Devin's family. See that GoFundMe page by clicking here.

That account has raised more than $12,000.
