A fugitive wanted from the state of Kentucky has been arrested in Rockport, Indiana.
William Fulks of Chandler, Indiana was serving the remainder of a 10-year prison sentence at a halfway house in Louisville before jumping a fence and escaping on February 18.
Sunday, deputies with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office and Indiana State Police assigned to the US Marshals Service Fugtivie Task Force surrounded a motel room at the Locust Hill Motel in Rockport.
Authorities said they first used a surveillance team to spot Fulks at the hotel earlier in the day.
After telling police they would have to take him out of his room in a body bag before he surrendered, law enforcement moved in and used a taser to take him into custody.
Fulks was originally convicted of manufacturing meth and bail jumping.
More than a dozen headstones and markers were left in pieces.
