Girl Scouts Raising Money for International Trips

If you thought Girl Scout cookie season was over, you might have gotten a pleasant surprise when you went to the grocery store Saturday morning.

For one day only, Girl Scouts were selling cookies at all Schnuck's locations in the Tri-State.

The proceed from Saturday's sale will go toward two international trips the scouts are taking: Spain in 2018 and Australia in 2019.

Girl Scout Ashlyn Clark says, “We have the potential to get each girl an extra $100-$200 which will really help, because we need about $5,000 in order to go on the trip.”

Ashlyn is going on the Australian trip, she says she's working two jobs to help pay for it and has been doing fundraisers for three years to reach that $5,000 mark.
