Henderson Co. Middle Schoolers Receiving Chromebooks

Around 1,900 laptops are going to Henderson County Middle School students this week.

It's part of a five-year plan to bring technology into the classroom.

North and South Middle School students will get Google Chromebooks to use during and after class.

Henderson County Schools still plan to use textbooks and traditional teaching, but school officials believe a connection to the Internet will only help students grow.

Henderson County Schools plan to to add Chromebooks to the high school starting next year.

It costs parents $25 for their child to use a laptop.
