Henderson Man Accused Of Shoplifting With Hatchet

A Henderson County man is in jail charged with shoplifting.

Deputies said 22-year-old Mason Blair was asked to leave the Dollar General store in Spottsville Sunday, after employees said he'd been stealing items.

Authorities were called after employees say Blair refused to leave.

The sheriff's office said they caught up to Blair on US 60, not far from the store. Deputies said Blair was carrying a hatchet when he was arrested.

Blair is charged with shoplifting, public intoxication and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

He's in the Henderson County Detention Center.
