House Considered 'Total Loss' Following Fire

A house on Evansville's west side was damaged by fire on Wednesday morning.

Though no one was reportedly inside the house at the time of the fire, the structure is considered a total loss according to fire officials.

Firefighters were called out around 9:15 a.m. to the house in the 600 block of Delaware St.

Evansville Fire Department West Side District Fire Chief Mike Dickinson said it took them about 30 minutes to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

According to Dickinson, the house is a rental property and the owners have been notified.
