INvestABLE Indiana Launches Friday

A new statewide program launched in Evansville on Friday.

Indiana Treasurer of State Kelly Mitchell made a stop at the Arc of Evansville to kick off INvestABLE Indiana, a program aimed at helping those with disabilities and their families save for their future.

INvestABLE will create tax-advantaged savings accounts for individuals with disabilities and help them pay for disability-related expenses without jeopardizing access to public health benefits.

Mitchell says the program is already off to a successful start.

The program comes out of the ABLE Act of 2014 and is being put in place in more states than just Indiana.
