Investigators Still Trying to Determine Cause of Hercules House Explosion

Thursday, Evansville fire investigators and Evansville Police returned to the scene of Tuesday's house explosion on Hercules Ave.

Vectren crews were also at the site running tests to help determine the cause of the explosion.

The explosion killed two people and seriously injured three others.

Wednesday, the two people who lost their lives in the explosion were identified as Sharon Mand and Kathleen Woolems.

Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear said both died from smoke inhalation.

Three others continue to be treated for burns at hospitals in Louisville and Indianapolis.

Family members identified them as Tara McKnight, her young son Jesse Woolems, and Michael Kneer.

Kneer's family told us he is on life support.
