ISP divers searching for stolen items

Thursday really felt like winter with temperatures really taking a dive. The mercury wasn't the only thing taking a plunge. Eyewitness News found an Indiana State Police scuba team searching for stolen items.

They were taking a dip in a pond near the Diamond Ave. and First Ave. area.

Troopers said they've been at this for two days.

Because the objects they're looking for will still be on top of the sediment, waiting only complicates the search.

As for handling the cold, they said that comes down to tolerance and training.

One Trooper told us the hardest part is not being able to see once under water because there's basically no visibility.
