Kentucky Lottery Announces Growth in Sales for May

In a meeting on Friday, it was announced that May was the third highest sales month in Kentucky Lottery history.

We are told that for the month of May, sales were $91.1 million. That is $6.8 million more than May of 2016, and $3.1 million more than budget.

Vice President and Corporate Controlled Maggie Garrison says scratch-off tickets have been key to the sales growth:

“While Powerball sales are down 26.7% through the same period last year, our Scratch-off products took off with the launch of our Big Money ticket in April.”
