KSP Assist Beaver Dam Motorist, End Up Arresting Him for Possession

Kentucky State Police thought they were simply helping a motorist who had run out of gas.

Instead, they ended up making a drug arrest.

Troopers were called to the Western Kentucky Parkway in Beaver Dam on Wednesday.

While they were assisting, police say they discovered the motorist in need, 35-year-old James Higdon, possessed meth and drug paraphernalia.

Higdon was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He's being held in the Ohio County Jail.
