KSP: Owensboro Teen Charged with Evading, Going 91 mph in 65 Zone

A little before 12:30 on Monday morning, Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a car on the US 60 bypass for speeding.

They report the driver, 18-year-old Alexander Miller from Owensboro, was going 91 mph.

Authorities say when the trooper attempted to catch up to the speeding vehicle, Miller accelerated to a high rate of speed and exited the bypass onto Carter road where he turned his headlights off in an attempt to elude the police.

They say Miller then turned onto Middleground Court, and then onto Elwood Court, failing to realize Elwood Court was a dead-end.

KSP reports Miller then proceeded off the roadway into a yard, nearly striking a residence, whose owner was inside asleep.

Miller was charged with speeding 91 mph in a 65 mph zone, Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing or Evading police, Reckless Driving, and other violations.

Miller is lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
