Lt. Gov. Crouch Reads to Local Children

Dozens of children at Easter Seals Rehabilitation welcomed a very special guest for story time Friday morning.

Evansville native and Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch participated in disability awareness month's ‘Story Time Celebration’ with 35 very excited four and five-year-olds at Easter Seals' Milestone location.

Crouch has been a long-time supporter of early childhood education and inclusion.

She says Friday morning's story time was a nice break from the normal day-to-day life in Indianapolis -

"It's great! How could this not be the highlight of my day? Probably the highlight of my month. Being with young children whose eyes are wide open and they're innocent and they pure."

The group of kids also had a very special surprise for the Lt. Governor.

Following story time, the children put on red-glasses, similar to the kind Crouch wears, and presented her with a nice painting.
