Madisonville Teen Helps Open Skate Park

They say if there is a will there is always a way. One Madisonville teen wanted to see a skate park in his hometown, so he made it happen.
Garret Lutz, wrote a two page letter to Mayor David Jackson about all of the reasons why Madisonville should have a skate park.
It took the city four years to find the funding for the project.
Madisonville Forward came through with the funding from recent restaurant tax revenue
As many skate boarders took their first run down the pike of the new skate park they say they are making more than just memories but friendships.
"Having something like this I have made so many good friends" said Garrett Lutz "I have a community to where I can just skate."
"The only thing I wish is that I was younger" said Mayor David Jackson "so I could get out there and skate with them."
