The Henderson Police Department arrested a man Monday for his alleged role in a robbery at the Holiday Motel on Sunday.
Victims at the motel told police that they were in their hotel room when 40-year-old Matthew Clark and another man came into the room and demanded money.
The victims told police both men were armed with handguns.
According to authorities, the two men took a small amount of money and left the scene. However, police said Clark came back later and threatened the victims with a knife.
On Monday, police saw a vehicle Clark and the other suspect had fled in the previous night.
Inside the vehicle, police said there were multiple knives in plain view.
Clark was arrested on a charge of robbery and placed in the Henderson County Detention Center.
HPD said the investigation is still open and anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Investigations Unit at 270-831-1295 or Crime Stoppers at 270-831-1111.
