An Owensboro man was arrested in Ohio County on Thursday for drug charges after Kentucky State Police say he was found walking along a state road.
A KSP trooper was patrolling Fordsville on Thursday afternoon when the trooper noticed a man walking on Kentucky 54 and appeared intoxicated. The trooper stropped and determined the man was under the influence.
Timothy Villafranca, 35, of Owensboro was taken into custody but tried to give false identifying information to the trooper. A brief search revealed Villafranca had a syringe with methamphetamine in his pocket.
He's charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and giving and officer false identifying information. Villafranca was booked in the Ohio County Detention Center.
