Meth, Marijuana Found in Vehicle During Traffic Stop

An Owensboro man was arrested after authorities said they found meth and marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop.

Benjamin Duke, 35, was arrested on Tuesday after his vehicle was pulled over for having no operational tail lights.

The vehicle was pulled over near Highway 54 and Springview Dr. in Dermont, Kentucky.

Once the vehicle was stopped, the Daviess County Sheriff's Deputy conducting the stop said he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Authorities said a small amount of meth and marijuana was found during a search of the vehicle.

Duke faces the following charges:

  • No Tail Lamps
  • Rear License Plate Not Illuminated
  • Obstructed Vision and/or Windshield
  • Operating Vehicle with Expired Operators License
  • Meth Possession
  • Marijuana Possession
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Duke is lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
