Mom of kids killed in crash asks for toy donations to Ark Crisis Child Care Center

A mom is asking for a better Christmas for kids in Evansville in memory of Prince and Princess Carter.

They are the two babies killed last week in a crash at the end of a police pursuit.

Their mother, Janae Carter, has asked for donations to Ark Crisis Child Care Center.

Director Angie Richards Cooley said she didn't know about the donations until Wednesday, but already several toys have been dropped off.

She said the request from Janae speaks highly of the family.

“Given the tragedy and sadness of the situation, for this mom, that she thought enough of the children at Ark that she wanted to do something to make Christmas brighter for them, I think it's inspiring and humbling,” said Cooley.

Cooley said toys can be dropped off at Ark.

They'll be wrapped and given to kids for Christmas.
