Morgantown Man Arrested for Meth Possession during Traffic Stop

Shortly before 11 on Tuesday evening, a deputy with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office says he pulled over an vehicle on Hwy 54 in Owensboro for an equipment violation.

During his investigation, the deputy says several items were located which indicated drug activity may have occurred in the vehicle.

Authorities say they found drug paraphernalia that contained meth, including a straw and a meth pipe.

Fifty-five-year-old Connie Joe Hunt of Morgantown, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Hunt is currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
