Music helps raise money for two Owensboro charities

The Alma Randolph Charitable Works Foundation hosted a musical event this weekend to support two big local charitable projects.

The event was held at Legacy Church in Owensboro and was raising money for the Clothe a Child Project and the Hands Up to Succeed Project.

The Hands Up to Succeed project helps two families in need who have children get a fully renovated home while they enjoy a relaxing day.

The organization is currently accepting applications for families to receive the home makeover this winter.

"We've been able to put back into this community net proceeds of more than 1.2 million dollars, and so we are very humbled by that, and just praying that this years event will a success so we can bless even more,” said President Alma Randolph.

This fundraiser is very important to the organization because they do not receive any other funding.
