New KY Bill Prohibiting Colored Headlights for Anyone Driving Through State

In Kentucky, state police say the new law banning colored headlights will apply to everyone driving through the state.

The bill was signed into law this week and prohibits all colored headlights, films, or cover changing the light's color.

This only applies to post-purchase modifications.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Corey King says the law will function just like any traffic law.

King says those pulled over with colored lights will be subject to a citation.

The law goes into effect July 1.
