The Kiwanis Club of Historic Newburgh is going to be holding a shoe collection drive from February 15 – April 15.
The club will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected.
That money will help benefit local projects in Newburgh and Warrick County.
Anyone can help by donating the shoes to the following locations:
Historic Newburgh, Inc. - 517 W. Main St.
German American Bank – Vogel Rd. and Bell Oaks Dr.
The Foundry: Center for the Arts – 8255 Bell Oaks Dr.
All donated shoes will be redistribute throughout the Funds2Orgs network.
“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Brenda Bender, Chair and Past President. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for our local humanitarian projects, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Proceeds from the sales of the shoes are used to feed, clothe, and house families.
