Next Tri-State Eclipse Coming in 2024

Following “The Great Eclipse” on Monday, the next total solar eclipse in the Tri-State is only seven years away.

The total solar eclipse over Mexico, the United States, and Canada will take place on April 8, 2024.

Totality will first touch Mexico, then enter the United States at Texas, and cut diagonal to Maine, and the maritime provinces of Canada.

Along the way, Evansville will be in the path of totality.

Before 2017, it had been 38 years since the last solar eclipse in the United States – making this seven-year wait relatively short.
