North Fulton Wesselman's Celebrates Founder's Day

Donations pour in at Wesselman’s on North Fulton Avenue, for Nexstar Media Group’s celebration of more than 20 years in local news.

It’s the Founder’s Day of Caring with Eyewitness News and our sister stations across the nation, In the Tri-State, people are filling boxes with food for people in need at Salvation Army and The Potter’s Wheel.

“We have some cream style corn and some shells and cheese,” says Wesselman’s manager, Mark Jaebker. The store has donated cases of canned food for the drive. “Just some regular household items that can be used every day.”

Salvation Army and Potter’s Wheel is looking for canned food, bread, chips, drinks, and more. People across the Tri-State make it happen.

“I have two adopted children at home,” says one man donating cans Friday afternoon, “just helping the people that need it the most,” he says means the most.

For the pantry and soup kitchen, generous donations keep the River City rolling on.
