Name of driver killed in Henderson crash released

HENDERSON (WEHT) - The Henderson County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the woman killed in a three vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on US 60 East at Tillman-Bethal Road.

Deputies say 34-year-old Katherine "Katie" Williams was stopped on US 60 waiting to make a left turn when her vehicle was rear-ended by a truck driven by 40-year-old David Howard Jr.

The impact sent Williams' vehicle into the path of a truck driven by 36-year-old Joni Richmond.

Williams was taken to the hospital where she died.

Richmond was taken to St. Vincent in Evansville where she is currently listed in stable condition.

Howard was not hurt.

Deputies say their investigation is ongoing.
