Paralyzed Dog Recovering and Looking for a Home

A dog paralyzed from a gunshot is making progress with hopes of soon finding his forever home.

We introduced you to Ruger earlier this monrth, and he was the Pet of the Day on Eyewitness News at Noon.

He was hit by a bullet when state police shot and killed his owner.

Ruger was outfitted with a special wheelchair.

He is currently doing water therapy at It Takes A Village Canine Rescue Shelter.

We're told Ruger is showing signs of feeling in one of his back paws.

It Takes A Village is already looking at adoption applications. But before that happens, Ruger has more therapy to complete.
