Police Searching for Suspect in Evansville Shooting

Update

Evansville Police say they are now going through surveillance video and photos, trying to identify a suspect in an afternoon shooting which took place on N Main St. in Evansville.

Investigators said a man on a moped was shot several times at a gas station in the 1000 block of N Main St.

The victim was reportedly on his moped when another person shot him.

The moped actually caught fire and crews were able to put that fire out pretty quickly.

The victim has not yet been identified but police said they are looking for a silver Toyota Yaris that left the scene.

A Yaris is a very small, compact car.

Authorities in Evansville are investigating a shooting which happened in the 1000 block of N Main St. on Monday.

According to authorities, a victim was taken to the hospital and police are still looking for the suspect.

The suspect has been described as a male with long hair. Police said he was driving a silver Toyota Yaris with Kentucky plates.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m.
