Pre-Adoption Starts for Dogs from Texas Shelters

Pre-adoption began Tuesday at noon for nearly 20 dogs that came all the way from Texas to the Warrick Humane Society.

These pets were in Texas shelters before Hurricane Harvey hit.

Now, the pets are hoping to find a loving owner right here in the Tri-State.

Already, almost half of the dogs have found their forever homes.

They range in size and age from six months to 10 years.

The shelter believes that the dogs won't be there for long.

The dogs will be able to go home with their new best friends next Tuesday after their 10-day quarantine period is over.
