Princeton, KY Celebrates Bicentennial

A western Kentucky city is being recognized by state lawmakers for reaching its 200th anniversary.

State Senator Dorsey Ridley presented officials in Princeton, Kentucky with a copy of the Senate Resolution recognizing the city's bicentennial.

The city in Caldwell County was founded in 1817.

It was originally known as Prince's Place.

It was first named after William Prince, a settler who helped design the city's layout.
