Ramp Restrictions Planned for I-69 in Evansville

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces ramp closures for several locations on I-69 in Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties beginning Monday, April 3.

Contractors will begin closing ramps as part of a project to seal joints and patch concrete at different locations from I-64 to the US 41 interchange.

On April 3, motorists can expect to see ramp closures at State Road 62 (Lloyd Expressway) and the I-69 interchange.

The proposed closure schedule is:

April 3:

  • Westbound Lloyd to Southbound I-69
  • Southbound I-69 to Eastbound Lloyd
  • Southbound I-69 to Wesbound Lloyd
  • Eastbound Lloyd to Northbound I-69

April 10

  • Northbound I-69 to Westbound Lloyd
  • Westbound Lloyd to Northbound I-69
  • Northbound I-69 to Eastbound Lloyd
  • Eastbound Lloyd to Southbound I-69

Depending upon weather, work is expected to be complete by early May.

This project is part of a larger contract to perform the same type of patching and joint sealing operations on interchange ramps on I-69 from I-64 to US 41.

Motorists will notice work being done intermittently throughout the spring and summer.

INDOT suggests that drivers slow down and pay extra attention in work zones.
