Rathbone Retirement Community said August will be its last month in business.
The retirement home has been in Evansville since 1985.
The historic building that hosts it has been in the River City since 1909.
President of the home Jeff Ludwyck cited low occupancy as the reason for closing.
The home is currently only half full.
Ludwyck said Rathbone was able to work with other assisted living facilities to place all residents and employees before closing, which is set for August 31.
