Owensboro city engineers say construction started last week to repair a hole at Smothers Park in downtown Owensboro, located near the RiverPark Center.
Contractors fixed sheet piling underneath and filled the area where it formed.
The sinkhole was first discovered last month, leading to a small section of the park being closed off.
City engineers said they hope to have all work done by the end of the week.
