ShrinersFest Preparations Underway

Riverside Drive is being transformed into Evansville's riverfront festival, the Hadi Shrinersfest.

The festival started as a car show but has turned into an attraction expecting 50,000 visitors this year.
With new shows bringing people to the riverfront.

"We got the parasail team where they have big sails and they do aerobatics. And they are going to be on the night show as well, we will have a wing walker we have a sky rider, this is all new stuff so we are really excited,” said ShrinersFest Chairman Roger Fuchs.

But because of all the activity in the sky, Shrinersfest has a strict no drone policy.
Drones cannot be within a five mile radius of the festival.

"The fact that we are doing this for the city and of course for our selves but this is a premier city event I mean this is a big event for Evansville and we are just so proud to be apart of it,” said Fuchs.

Shrinersfest starts Thursday and goes through Sunday.
