Teens Recovering After ATV Collides with Vehicle

A teen driving an ATV overcorrects and ends up hitting another vehicle.

It happened in the 400 block of  Browns Valley-Red Hill Rd. in Daviess Co., KY around 1 p.m. Monday.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office says an ATV driven by a 14-year-old was heading west when he went off the side of the road, overcorrected, and crossed the center line.

Authorities say the ATV struck an oncoming car then overturned about five times before coming to rest. The driver and a 13-year-old passenger were ejected.

We're told the driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The 13-year-old was flown to St. Vincent in Evansville with unknown injuries. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Authorities say neither teens were wearing helmets.
