The method behind March Madness

Its the most wonderful time of the year, for basketball fans, that is.

March Madness is finally upon us, and with that comes brackets.

For UK fan Mark Chumbler, this year's bracket was harder than others.

“If you told me they were going to lose in the first round, I wouldn't be surprised. If you told me they were going to be in the championship game, I wouldn't be surprised,” said Chumbler.

Chumbler says he has filling out his bracket down to a science.

“I literally go game by game and don't know who I'm going to have in the final four until I see each match-up,” says Chumbler,”I feel like I have a decent idea when I see two schools, what those match ups might be like. I pay a lot of attention to ESPN during championship week.”

Even after driving to St. Louis to see his Wildcats win the SEC tournament, for the big blue fan, emotions play no role.

“I really try to go with my head and not my heart,” said Chumbler.

The same can't be said for everyone.

“I'm praying Kentucky will win,” said Jax Wheeler, another member of Big Blue Nation.

Whether your team wins its all, or goes home early, keep in mind, those little boxes could maybe help you win it all here at home.

" I usually do fairly well, I never seem to win the cash but you know, I do pretty decently,” said Chumbler.
