The man accused in a near-fatal shooting of a transgender woman was found incompetent to stand trial on Friday and his trial was vacated.

Lewis faces charges of attempted murder, robbery, and carrying a handgun without a license.

The court found on Friday that Lewis lacked 'the ability to understand the proceedings and assist in his defense.'
