Two Newburgh Men Accused of Sexual Misconduct with Minor

Justin Alexander Jarvis, 43, and Robert Owen, 38, both of Newburgh, were arrested on Wednesday after a months-long investigation by the Warrick County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives say they received a report in October that a juvenile had been in a sexual relationship with Jarvis and Owen. According to Detectives, the report also claimed pornographic images were exchanged between the juvenile and at least one of the adults.

A search warrant was executed at the home of Jarvis and Owen in October, according to authorities.

Authorities say digital evidence was seized and illegal narcotics were also found.

According to the sheriff's office, the victim had been interviewed at Holly's House and disclosed that some of the sexual activity had been recorded. After examination of the evidence and interviews, the prosecutor filed charges, and arrest warrants were issued for both Jarvis and Owen.

Owen was arrested on two charges of sexual misconduct with a minor. He was released after posting a $4,000 bond, according to authorities.

Jarvis was arrested on the following charges:

  • two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor
  • three counts of child exploitation
  • possession of child pornography
  • dissemination of matter harmful to minors
  • possession of methamphetamine
  • possession of marijuana
  • possession of paraphernalia

Jarvis was released after posting a $4,000 cash bond, according to authorities.

Indiana State Police, the Evansville Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted the sheriff's office with this investigation.
