USPS to Release Stamps That Mimic Texture of Sports Balls

The US Postal Service is releasing stamps that mimic the feel of real balls used in baseball, basketball, football, golf, kickball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.

To make the stamps, a special coating is applied to selected areas during the printing process that gives them a texture mimicing the texture and feel of the ball.

The stamps will be issued at 8 a.m. on June 14 at the 117th US Open Championship in Hartford, WI.
