Vanderburgh Co. Coroner: Japanese Visitor Died After Being Hit By Vehicle

The Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office and the Princeton Police Department are investigating the death of a visitor from Japan.

While walking in Princeton on Thursday morning, 64-year-old Masayuki Yamashita was struck by a vehicle.

The incident happened at the intersection of Second and Broadway. Princeton Police said it was ruled an accident and the driver was not charged.

Yamashita was taken to Deaconess Hospital where he died of his injuries on Saturday.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner said Yamashita suffered head injuries as a result of being hit by the vehicle.
