VCSO: Driver crashes into road sign beam

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says alcohol was a factor in a Sunday morning crash on St. Joe Avenue.

Deputies say it happened just after 3 a.m. on North St. Joe near Glenview Drive.

We’re told the driver of a pick-up truck struck a median support pole for an overhead sign, knocking it into the road, before driving into a ditch.

Another driver hit the pole that was in the southbound side of the road. They were not injured.

The driver of the pick-up was treated for minor injuries.

St. Joe was closed for over an hour for clean-up.
