War Memorial Coming to Boonville Square

A war memorial in Boonville is in the works for the square in front of the courthouse.

This is a rendering of the finished product:

The monument will feature 153 names of Warrick County natives who fought for their country in World War I and World War II as well as the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Warrick County Commissioner Marlin Weisheit says, “Most courthouses have several memorials of some type, and that was something we were missing here. We have some, like a Vietnam veterans memorial, we have a civil war memorial, but we really didn't have anything that had the guys that had lost their lives that had give it all "

The memorial is expected to be finished as soon as this Veteran's Day.
