Watching the Radar at Victoria National

The safety of everyone at Victoria is top priority, especially when it comes to the weather with many players and caddies out on the open green.

A meteorologist travels with the Web.com tour looking at models and real time date, just like your weather authority here at Eyewitness News.

Brad Nelson monitors the radar as well as an on-site lighting detector.

The detector picks up on building electricity in the atmosphere, letting Nelson know a storm is nearby or developing.

Nelson says they generally evacuate the course when lightning strikes 8 to 10 miles away.
